What's your vision?

What is your vision for health and wellness? Is there a gap between where you are today and where you would like to be? Would you like to feel better, have more energy, or lose weight, but need some motivation to get you there? Creating wellness vision for your life, and setting some simple goals can help you get on track. It's easy to do, but you will need to set aside 30 minutes or so to get started.

Begin by painting a picture in your mind. What would you look and feel like at your ideal level of wellness? Write it down. Once you have developed your "vision", answer these questions:
What makes this vision important to me?
What might get in the way of reaching my vision?
What personal strengths can I draw upon to help me overcome obstacles when they arise?

Once you are clear about your vision and have answered these questions, then start an action plan by setting 1-2 small, acheivable goals each week that will help get you to your vision. Write them down and keep track of your progress. Tell someone about your plan- this will add in an element of accountability and support. At the end of each week, evaluate what worked and what didn't work, then set new goals for the week ahead and move forward.

Good health doesn't just happen naturally. It takes planning, effort, and continued focus. And when you slip up... pray for strength, get back on the bus, and take the next step forward!

"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord."
Zech 4:6
